One-act comedy festival at Rockville Little Theater- last occurred July 2009 (added 12/15/2009). On 8/28/2011 I sent a message to: rockvilletheater@hotmail.com and scaviness@verizon.net in regards to it but no response (and the scaviness@verizon.net message bounced back)

in May, 2009 The 48 Hour Film Project returns to offer anyone the chance to whip up a movie in two days’ time. Found out about in Washington Post.

The Source Festival – added 9/4/2008 – for plays.  Ran again on June 20 to July 12, 2009.  Has 10 minute plays and one-act plays. Check back in September 2009 for submissions for 2010.

The DC Shorts Film Festival (the 5th one took place in 2008 from 9/11 to 9/18) – added 9/11/2008

NBC’s Stand-up for Diversity – Next date, Oct 12 in Baltimore, MD (added here 9/25/2008, first twittered 9/19/2008); checked again on 8/17/09 and did not see Baltimore or DC in upcoming cities list.  Only New York City in November.
