There’s a new Batman: Akham Asylum game coming according to Joystiq. What I found more interesting was in the discussion in the comments:

• There were props to the Batman Return game on Super NES by AK
• Also props to the Batman and Robin game on the SNES by NaeemTHM
• A discussion started by FOXHOUND on the Hush villain (never heard of Hush)
• A discussion started by Eothein praising Harley Quinn
• A discussion praising Grant Morrison’s Batman, Paul Dini, and the Justice League Cartoons (my Justice League Season 1 on Blu-ray is on its way by the way)
• And a discussion on the Arkham Asylum Graphic Novel started by Park Zero.

Update: 8/15/2008:

I saw a new post on the Batman Arkham Asylum game today on Joystiq and it had screens but those had to be pulled. I don’t see links to these removed screens in the comments section (as Joystiq’s hinting in their post), but I’m sure they’ll turn up.

Again, the comments are insightful on the subject of Batman, in particular, Vii’s comments on Killer Croc.
